The Philippines-Australia Multicultural Association Inc (PAMA, Inc.) is holding its big Spring festival (PAMA SpringFest 2024) with food, culture, music, songs, the arts and dances from Philippines and celebrating the rich influence to its culture from it’s multicultural history. This seasonal festival event is held in September every year. There will be food and information stalls, performances in songs, music and dancing. PAMA SpringFest2024 is a FREE ENTRY community event.
Ever since its founding in April 2021, PAMA delivers it’s mission with a laser focus on delivering AWESOME events that foster cross cultural friendships, understanding and cooperation.
This year, PAMA SpringFest 2024 will have the American culture as a key theme of the festival and these will be through music, songs, and dances such as Rock n Roll, Cabaret performances, disco song hits by iconic artists and more. The Philippines has a rich cultural heritage, one of which is the influence of the American culture introduced during the American colonization of the Philippines for 48 years where English was introduced as the official language.
The American central theme from the performances to the stalls will be interspersed with multicultural participation from other performers as well as food and non-food stallholders for a truly awesome family experience.
This awesome experience will be captured in the form of food, dancing, music, songs and definitely colourful cultural costumes and retro attires to end the day with an amazing dance party!
PAMA SpringFest 2024 is assisted by the Queensland Government and the Ipswich City Council’s Community Events Funding Program.
